It was created as a means to separate the fine wines that were imported under the category VINI DA TAVOLA, because they were not produced according the the old DOC and DOCG rules. SUPER VINI DA TAVOLA are better wines than VINI DA TAVOLA, and in many cases, even better thatn DOCG wines, but are not made from traditional grapes.
